Privacy Policy
Effective 26 September 2026
This policy explains what information Sentimentos collects, why, who it's shared with, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it plain and short.
1. Who we are
Sentimentos ("we", "us") is a customer-feedback analytics service operated by Sentimentos. We collect feedback from sources our customers choose, measure its sentiment, and show the results in a private dashboard.
This policy covers two groups of people: our customers (people who sign up and use Sentimentos), and people whose public posts, comments or reviews appear in a customer's dashboard.
2. Information we collect from customers
- Account details: name, email address, country and city (optional), profile picture (optional), and your password, which we store only as a one-way hash.
- Workspace details: your organisation, projects, team members you invite, and your plan.
- Content you give us: files you upload (for example CSV or Excel exports of reviews), and the sources you connect.
- Connection credentials: access tokens or API keys for the platforms you connect. They are stored encrypted and used only to fetch your data.
- Usage and security records: sign-in times, IP address, and an activity log of important actions in your workspace, kept to protect your account and investigate problems.
3. Data from connected sources
When a customer connects a source, we fetch feedback from it on a schedule:
- Google Business Profile, Facebook Page reviews and Judge.me: reviews of the customer's own business, with the reviewer's display name, rating, text and date.
- YouTube: public comments on videos or channels the customer chooses.
- Reddit: public posts matching a subreddit or keyword the customer chooses. See Data from Reddit.
- File uploads: whatever feedback the customer includes in the file.
We fetch only what is needed to measure sentiment. We don't collect private messages, private accounts or content that needs a login to view.
4. Data from Reddit
Sentimentos lets customers analyse public conversations about their brand on Reddit. When a customer adds a subreddit or a keyword, we use Reddit's official Data API, read-only, to collect public posts that match it.
- What we collect: the post's ID, title and body text, the author's Reddit username, the subreddit, the link to the post, its score and comment count, and when it was posted.
- What we don't collect: private messages, private, restricted or quarantined communities, email addresses, or any other personal information about Reddit users.
- Why: to measure sentiment (positive, neutral or negative) and show our customer how people feel about their brand over time.
- AI processing: to measure sentiment, we send the text of each post, without the username, to a third-party AI service (see How we use AI). We don't use Reddit content to train or build AI models.
- Who can see it: only the customer account that added that Reddit source, and authorised Sentimentos staff for support and operations.
- No selling or sharing: we don't sell, license or redistribute Reddit data, and we don't build profiles of Reddit users.
- How long we keep it: up to 12 months, or until the customer removes the source, whichever comes first. When a post is deleted or removed on Reddit, we delete it from Sentimentos too.
- Your choice as a Reddit user: to have your Reddit content removed from Sentimentos, email privacy@sentimentos.io with your Reddit username. We'll delete it within 30 days.
Our use of Reddit data follows Reddit's Data API Terms and Responsible Builder Policy. Sentimentos is not affiliated with or endorsed by Reddit, Inc.
5. How we use information
- To provide the service: fetching feedback, measuring sentiment, and building dashboards, reports and alerts.
- To run your account: sign-in, email verification, password resets, invitations and service emails.
- To keep the service secure and reliable, and to fix problems.
- To meet legal obligations.
6. How we use AI
Sentiment is measured by sending the text of each feedback item to a large-language-model API (currently OpenAI, with Google Gemini as a backup). We send only the text; we don't send names or usernames. The reply is a sentiment label and score, which we store with the item.
We use these providers' business API terms, under which our inputs are not used to train their models. We don't train, fine-tune or build AI models of our own from customer data or third-party content.
8. How long we keep information
- Account and workspace data: while your account is active. After you ask to close it, we delete it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.
- Feedback from connected sources and uploads: until the customer deletes the source, the upload or the account.
- Public social content (Reddit, YouTube): no longer than 12 months, and removed sooner if it is deleted on the original platform.
- Security and activity logs: for a limited period, then deleted automatically.
9. Your rights and choices
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. Customers can edit most account details in the app. For anything else, email privacy@sentimentos.io.
If your public post, comment or review appears in a customer's dashboard and you want it removed, email us with a link to it (or your username on that platform). We'll remove it within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
10. Security
Connections use HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, and platform credentials are encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is limited to authorised staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell affected customers promptly about any breach that puts it at risk.
12. International transfers
Our servers are in the EU. Some service providers, such as our AI providers, may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
13. Children
Sentimentos is a business service. It isn't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll also tell customers by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
